Expand description

One row of the crash-recovery table (§12): what recovery does from the state a transaction was left in. Kernel::recover_steps dispatches on it.

Variants§

§

Reject

Nothing was mutated: end Rejected(Interrupted).

§

Reobserve

A runtime operation: re-observe and commit.

§

CandidateActive

A generation was being activated: Checking if the candidate is active, else revert.

§

CheckGeneration

A generation was being checked: probes decide.

§

RecheckPublished

The boot entry was written: probes, then publish again and promote, or revert.

§

WriteCommitted

The override was promoted: write Committed.

§

RevertGeneration

A generation revert was under way: run it again (it is idempotent).

§

Publishing

A boot-only publication was under way: ask what was armed (R01).

§

DriverBound

A driver was being bound: Checking if it is bound, else revert.

§

CheckDevice

A driver bind was being checked: probes decide.

§

RevertDevice

A driver revert was under way: run it again.

§

AwaitBoot

A boot-only candidate waits for its boot (§12 step 7): leave it until a reboot; then confirm it if it booted, else Reverted.

§

Fail

No recovery path: RecoveryFailed.
