planarian-tray: the status indicator. A StatusNotifierItem (the
freedesktop tray protocol COSMIC’s panel shows) with the planarian mark:
no dot when all is well, blue-grey while a change is being built or
applied, amber when something needs a look, red when something needs a
person. Its tooltip says what; clicking it opens the console. Read-only,
like the console in Phase A: it asks the daemon for its console report
every few seconds and changes nothing.
Modules§
- icon 🔒
- The indicator’s icon: the identity kit’s micro mark (the variant drawn for 16–32 px, with larger eye cutouts), white for the dark panel, with a small dot for the state: none when all is well, blue-grey while working, amber for attention, red for a fault. Rendered here as ARGB pixmaps, so it needs no icon theme and keeps the eye cutouts transparent.
- state 🔒
- What the indicator shows: one level and one line, from the daemon’s
console report. “Needs attention” is
ConsoleReport::needs_attention, the same condition that makes the console start visible.
