Traffic to the gateway is dropped while the NIC driver and NetworkManager are fine. Every probe on the way times out, which is Unknown, never Failed (§10): nothing local is restarted or rebound and no repair is attempted, but Planarian says it can’t reach the upstream. When the block lifts, the client is Running again.
